A1 — Lesson 112: Comparatives (-er / more ... than)
Unidad 9: Descripciones, comparaciones y preferencias. Aprendemos a comparar con adjetivos comparativos: taller than, bigger than, more expensive than.
1️⃣ Explicación — comparativos básicos
Estructura clave: A + be + comparative + than + B (A es más <adjetivo> que B).
| Tipo de adjetivo | Regla | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| 1 sílaba | adj + -er + than | fast → faster than small → smaller than |
| 1 sílaba (CVC) | dobla consonante + -er | big → bigger than hot → hotter than |
| 2 sílabas con -y | y → i + -er | happy → happier than |
| adjetivos largos | more + adj + than | expensive → more expensive than comfortable → more comfortable than |
Recuerda: than = que en la comparación. My car is faster than your car. (Mi coche es más rápido que tu coche.)
2️⃣ Grammar 1 — completa con el comparativo correcto

3️⃣ Grammar 2 — elige la oración correcta

4️⃣ Reading — comparar productos

Anna wants to buy a new phone. She is looking at two models: Phone A and Phone B. Phone A is cheaper than Phone B, but the camera is not very good. Phone B is more expensive than Phone A, but it is faster and the battery is bigger. Phone A is lighter than Phone B, so it is easier to carry. Anna likes taking photos, so the camera is more important than the price.
Esta lección prepara la Lesson 113 (superlativos: -est / the most), donde vas a decir the cheapest, the most interesting, etc.
