1️⃣ Explicación — verbo to be en pasado

En pasado, am / iswas y arewere. Es el mismo verbo “ser/estar”.

Afirmativo
• I was at home yesterday. (Yo estuve / estaba en casa ayer.)
• They were happy. (Ellos estaban contentos.)

Negativo
• She wasn’t at school. (Ella no estuvo en la escuela.)
• We weren’t late. (Nosotros no llegamos tarde.)

Preguntas + respuestas cortas
• Were you tired yesterday? — Yes, I was. / No, I wasn’t.
• Was the movie good? — Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t.

2️⃣ Grammar — elige was / were / formas negativas

Completa con la forma correcta del verbo to be en pasado. Nivel A1, pero muy importante para las siguientes lecciones (irregulares, historias, etc.).

3️⃣ Reading — Yesterday at the park

Lee la mini-historia. Todas las frases usan was / were. Luego responde las preguntas de comprensión.

Yesterday it was sunny and warm, so my family and I were at the park. My parents were on a bench under a big tree, and my sister and I were near the lake. There were many people in the park: some children were on the swings and others were on the grass with their dogs. At one o’clock, it was time for lunch. Our sandwiches and juice were in a blue bag. We were very happy because the day was relaxing and beautiful.

4️⃣ Writing / Speaking — Yesterday you were…

Escribe 4–6 oraciones sobre ayer usando was / were. Luego puedes leerlas en voz alta o grabarte.

Ejemplo:

• Yesterday I was at school in the morning.
• My friends were very tired.
• The weather was hot, but our classroom was cold.
• In the evening we were at home.

Tip: usa marcadores de tiempo simples: yesterday morning, yesterday afternoon, last night. En las lecciones siguientes (103, 104, 105) vamos a ampliar esto.
